Description:- Developed early within the 12th Century, the good Helm became the mainstay of the medieval fighting man and lasted for about 300 years. Worn with large amounts of padding or over a smaller helmet, it had been almost impossible to penetrate. Few great helms have survived the centuries. We've copied one frequently shown in old illustrations and monuments. Crafted of 1.24 mm (18 gauge) steel with reinforced sights and riveted and welded sections. It also features a hoop on the highest that was used for securing decorative attachments sort of a lady’s favor.
