Description:- This is a singular Greek crescent shield with a chalice or "Holy Grail" design painted over a gleaming metallic gold background. This design is historically accurate. It decorated ancient Greek/Athenian shields around 520 BC although (of course) its meaning wasn't yet related to the Christian Grail. This shield's border is striped with black and burnished bronze. The shield's body is formed out of a 1/2" thick smooth composite wood (which is considerably stronger than plywood). The points of the shield have also been reinforced with a second layer of 1/4" thick supports to make sure they will not get damaged by use. The shield has also been applied with several coats of varnish to further protect and preserve it from wear. It measures about 32 inches in breadth .
