Description:- This hand-painted wooden shield features a Octopus design inspired by actual Greek artwork which once decorated shields, tapestries and pottery. The shield is formed out of a smooth composite wood which is considerably stronger than plywood. The painted surface of the shield has also been applied with several coats of varnish to guard it from wear. The shield measures about 25 inches in diameter, quite enough to hide your arm well beyond the elbow.
